AIR
FARE SEARCHES
If you’re even pondering the
concept of using the net to search for cheap airline tickets
you’ve probably heard of Orbitz, or perhaps Travelocity,
Expedia or Priceline. Before you
go running off to the online travel agency with
the most expansive commercial campaigns, take a
moment to see what the
second tier of online travel agencies have to
offer.

When searching for and
comparing travel sites for cheap flights don't overlook the so
called 'minor details' those 'extra little fees,' that
some of the larger travel
sites add to the cost of the ticket. Those little costs can, in the end,
throw your bottom line ticket cost through the
roof. You would
be better buying directly from the
airline.

There does, however, exist a
somewhat lesser known circle of travel websites that offered the same range of
somewhat lower airline ticket prices than all the big
sites.

So how does one find these
sites? Just keep adding search terms, known as 'long tail'
search terms, to your search until you stop seeing
the same top travel websites in
the search results. Soon you'll begin seeing the extra cheap
airline tickets you’re looking for.
